Maria Samora (b. 1975) is a Native American jeweler born and raised in Taos, New Mexico. She apprenticed with goldsmith Phil Poirier for ten years, launching her namesake brand soon after. She was first selected to show at the Santa Fe Indian Market in 2005 and has won the Market’s first prize several times in subsequent years. In 2018 the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture honored her with a Living Treasure award and the exhibitionMaria Samora: Master of Elegance. Samora’s designs can be found in museums and galleries across the country and at Maria Samora Studio in Taos.
